Nice recap. I didn't know you were out there either, 'til I saw the pix today. Maybe because I sat in the car with the seat heater on for my warm-up.

The new kit looks sweet, even when caked with mud. Glad to hear I'm not the only one that ended up rubber side up during the race. Given the conditions, I'd say falling only once in two hours of pushing the limits isn't bad. Don't second guess your V-brakes, I was down to metal on metal with my discs too.

Better than staying home on the couch any day!
